EAP & Mediation Contract
In a nutshell EAP stands for Employee Assistance Program.
This is a confidential workplace service that your employer funds and it can help employees deal with everyday life situations that may be causing stress or concern. These could include family issues, financial concerns, relationship problems, substance abuse and anything that may prevent or inhibit you personally and professionally.
In some instances, the EAP will extend to your immediate family members, so they can also benefit from this confidential service and no cost to you.
The EAP will provide you with a set number of sessions with a professional, to assist where they can initially, however it is not designed as a long-term solution. The aim is to provide preventive and proactive interventions for the early detection, identification and/or resolution of both work and personal problems that may adversely affect performance and wellbeing.
There are a number of EAP services available, and your employer will be able to provide you with the relevant contact information about any EAP they have engaged for the organisation.
The EAP services I am engaged in are listed below.
This is where I will undertake mediation services via a contract arrangement. Many of these contract mediation services are workplace mediation.
As mediation is an accredited process whereby mediators must comply with the Practice Standards, the process of workplace mediation will not change greatly to that carried out under contract arrangements or privately with me.
I am a nationally accredited mediator with the Australian Mediation Association (AMA) who strongly supports and is committed to the application and implementation of the Australian National Mediator Standards. The AMA is a Recognised Mediator Accreditation Body (RMAB) under the standards and acts to maintain and further develop the national mediation accreditation scheme.

The following are the current organisations I am contracted to undertake accredited mediation services.
This means that:
The mediator has been approved by Emverio Workplace Mediations to conduct workplace mediations on its’ behalf.
- The mediator has been trained in applying the Emverio Workplace Mediations model.
- The mediator is provided de-briefing and professional development opportunities.
- The mediator reports to the Emverio National Practice Manager and has a workplace complaints and feedback process that you can access.
